My Experience with Workouts & Menstruating on the Full Moon
I started my period on the Full Moon.
What I’ve learned is, since ancient times this has also been called a “Red Moon” bleed (vs. a White Moon bleed where your period would happen around the New Moon).
It’s so interesting how I’ve seen my body shift around the various phases of the moon cycle at different times. There’s no ONE way that’s more “healthy” or correct.
In ancient times, it was said that Red Moon women were often healers and priestesses focusing their creative menstrual energies outward vs. inward, to teach and mentor others.
It’s so interesting how my energy has been different this phase too. I’ve definitely felt a down shift in my energy, but even the morning of day 1, I felt I needed to move my body on an easy bike ride and then kayaked too.
This really surprised me and I didn’t want to overdo it, but I went with it knowing that the full moon was influencing me, and my inner wise woman reminded me that each cycle is different.
Let it be different.
Go with the flow.
Do you need that reminder too?
