Warm-up For Your Workout with Meditation
Do you ever feel like all you bring to your workout is a pile of frustrations and a gym bag full of worries from the day? Don’t get me wrong, exercise is a great release. It gets energy moving through you in a way that helps you feel better about things by the time you’ve sweat it all out.
But sometimes you never get there.
You go into the workout high on negative emotions. You spend your whole time thinking, worrying, and agonizing. Then you hit the shower still caught up in the craziness in your head.
A training client once told me she has trouble “getting out of her head and into her body.” You may think this sounds like spiritual woo-woo yoga stuff, but you can apply it to ANY movement or ANY workout.
Check out this pre-movement meditation video I made for you. Listen, watch, do what you need to do. My intention is that you will clear the road in your mind before you lace up your shoes and head out. Not sure about this? Just go with the flow 😉
